(1) Access to the microscope
A. Hold the arm of the microscope with one hand and the base of the microscope with the other, and gently place the microscope on the table about one thumb away from the edge of the table. b. Adjust the chair to the appropriate height so that you can use the microscope with ease. c. Wipe all the lenses with 95% alcohol and a paper swab (※Note: You can only wipe in a single straight line direction.). d. Place the specimen on the carrier table smoothly and hold it in place with a slide clamp (※Note: Please make sure that the slide is clamped properly so that it will not jump up and cause injury or damage to the lens of the microscope. ※Note: Please make sure that the slide is clamped properly so that the slide will not jump up and cause injury to your classmates or damage to the microscope lens).
(2) Use of low magnification lens
A. Lower the stage to its lowest point, turn the revolving nosepiece so that the low magnification lens is located directly under the lens barrel. B. Turn on the light source, adjust the light source adjustment knob and the Iris diaphragm so that the brightness in the field of view is appropriate. C. Place the slide you want to observe on the stage, clamp it with a slide holder, and turn the mechanical stage control knobs to make sure it is properly clamped. C. Place the slide to be viewed on the stage, hold it in place with the slide holder, and turn the mechanical stage control knobs to adjust the position of the slide. Turn the Adjustment knob until the distance between the low magnification lens and the stage is about 0.1 cm (or the stage can no longer be raised).D. Observe through the connecting eyepiece, and at the same time slowly turn the Adjustment knob in the direction of yourself so that the stage is lowered until the image is clear. If the field of view is too bright or too dark, adjust the light source adjustment knob and the Iris diaphragm to make the brightness in the field of view appropriate.
